How SatTag works to help you find items when you have a mobile or WiFi connection.
When you have mobile or WiFi coverage, SatTag uses the Find Hub (Android) networks. Find Hub leverages billions of devices globally to help you locate your items.
To add a SatTag to Find Hub simply power up the SatTag and move it close to your phone. Your phone will recognise the device and provide simple on screen instructions to pair it.
How it works
Your SatTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby devices in the Find Hub network. These devices send the location of your SatTag to Google Cloud - then you can go to Find Hub app and see exactly where your devices are on a map. The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy.
Lost Mode
SatTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then, when it’s detected by one of the billions of devices in the network, you’ll get an automatic notification
Ping it to find it
Open the Items tab in the Find My app or My Devices in the Find Hub app to make your SatTag play a sound making close by items easy to find. Even those hiding under the sofa.
Share your lost item’s location.
If you lose an item, you can temporarily and securely share the location of your SatTag with others to help you find it. It’s easy and secure.
Privacy is built in.
Only you can see where your SatTag is. Your location data and history are never stored on the SatTag itself. Devices that relay the location of your SatTag also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way.
SatTag is designed to prevent unwanted tracking.
If someone else’s SatTag finds its way into your stuff, your Android device will notice and send you an alert. If you still havenʼt found it after a while, the SatTag will start playing a sound letting you know it’s there.
Out of mobile coverage? Don’t panic.

Use SatTag to send and receive text messages to and from any of your contacts. Messages are delivered to your contacts as an SMS or, if they are a SatTag user, directly to their SatTag app. To get the best satellite connectivity you will need to make sure your SatTag has a clear view of the sky*.
Check In and Share Your Location via satellite
Using the companion app, SatTag lets you send any of your contacts a pre-configured check in message, share your current or live location or start a tracking session so that friends and family can follow your progress. You can also save tracking sessions and/or upload them to third party applications like Strava.
Satellite SOS
In the event that you need to contact emergency services and have no mobile coverage, the SatTag companion app includes a Satellite only SOS feature. Activating an SOS in the SatTag app will connect you to our alarm receiving centre who will co-ordinate the appropriate emergency services for your circumstance. To successfully activate an SOS your SatTag must be connected to a satellite and you must have already downloaded the SatTag app and created an account.

Need the local weather forecast or help with translation? SatTag AI gets you the answer you need when you need them.... wherever you are. SatTag AI works using a mobile, WiFI or a satellite connection.
